Services Overview

Before establishing his independent management consultancy in 1995, Malcolm's career included health services management and management consultancy. He occupied senior managerial posts in Cardiff Royal Infirmary, Westminster Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow and was Chief Executive of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust between 1991-1993.In 1985 he joined PA Consulting Group's Public Sector Division as head of their health consulting practice and in 1994 he headed the Public Sector practice of Pauline Hyde and Associates (later known as Alternative International Ltd).

He is licensed by Oxford Psychology Press to use 'Benchmarks' and 'Skillscope' the 360 Degree development tools developed by the Centre for Creative Leadership and is trained in the use of psychometric tests including 15FQ, 16PF5, MBTI, JTI, OPP, OIP etc.

He contributes frequently to training programmes in this country and in mainland Europe particularly in the areas of strategy development, the change process and Consultancy Business Start-up.

He is a tutor on the Human Resources syndicates of the MBA programme at Cardiff Business School and is an Associate of the NHS Staff College Wales and the Welsh Institute of Health and Social Care at the University of Glamorgan. He is an alumnus of London Business School and Bath School of Management.
