The Change Programme
Every organisation today faces change, and is developing new strategies to combat threats to its performance. Some 95% of organisational have undergone significant change of one type or another over the last 5 years and 80% of those organisations recognise that change has not produced the results they expected often quoting as a key reason for the failure as the failure to manage the human aspects of change.
An organisation that wins the commitment of its people, and successfully retunes their abilities, will come through not only surviving the change through the change, but also becoming stronger and more able to cope with the demands of the new situation.
The Change Programme is based on experience working with managers as they address the change processes, both in times of organisational crisis and during gradual change. It is built around the three key questions asked by managers and their staff:
What has to change? - Planning for Success
Change is complex; realistic action plans are built which help to achieve the structural and process change in an organised and planned way. Managers also learn how to negotiate new performance contracts for themselves and their teams, ensuring that they know what is expected of them - including changes in skills, attitudes and behaviour. They will then be committed to plan and monitor progress along an agreed path, and evaluate the organisation's ability to deliver.
How will we make it different?
Change management methodologies; Understanding organisational change and its implications is vital to managing change successfully; power and influence; leadership through change; maintaining morale; achieving changes in behaviour; coaching counselling and mentoring are elements that can be developed within an organisation to effect change successfully.
Why do I feel so bad and what can I do about it?
Self-Management through Change; Understanding the personal reaction to change; developing self- sufficiency and honesty; developing confidence to take control rather than be a victim; rebuilding self-esteem; accepting individual accountability for a successful change programme or improving employability through the identification of the skills and achievements that will prepare individuals to prepare for a change in career or employment.
The McGreevy Consulting International Change Programme does not attempt to give your organisation the solution; it is designed to build strength and resilience in your people who are critical to an organisation’s success. They will then help you to win.
Our style is always highly participative and stimulating; delegates learn and develop through understanding and enjoyment to turn excuses into positive action and are motivated to face the challenge. Delegate input to training sessions can be turned into real action plans, or presentations to senior management. Exercises are related to real life, and draw out delegates' own experience rather than just the theory of gurus although these are important as a conceptual basis for the theorists and reflectors in a group. The Programme is flexible; modules will be built which recognise the needs of your organisation, the progress you have already made, and the level of the delegates.
Above all, the Change Programme is practical and realistic. It helps you to build strength into the organisation, creating the responsiveness and competence you need to face current challenges, and ongoing change in the future.
